Hey guys, I just moved to Doreen recently and was wandering how far along the Plenty River I'd have to go to catch some carp? Checked google maps and it seems like there is two spots I wouldn't mind checking, 1 near the 2 beans cafe and 1 a little closer to Bridge Inn Road. Any suggestions?

Don't really know many spots there but I do know there are carp and eels in there. Some people have also caught redfin in there but i'm not too sure where.

I caught some big carp at birdsland in the Dandenong ranges. Belgrave I think.

if you go around the bridge a Euroa ( a bit out of Melbourne but worth it) there is a lot of carp. :ft:
use corn kernels on a medium hook and a Carolina rig works best for me. I may have caught them all though :-D
I use 2 hand lines and also have a spinning rod set up for lures. mostly hard bodies for cod and yellow belly. only thing I have ever caught is carp so I guess I'm doing something right ;-)

I have caught about 5-10 but I see bubbles which means they are there. it has been a bit slow lately.

good luck and tight lines.
