Let us know how you go ive been thinking of giving that area a go for carp as its relatively close to home. I really want to catch a big carp for the missus she will eat them. :a_goodjob:

Having a crack at mcalpin reserve in ringwood. Haven't had a nibble.

What sort of rigs is recommended for carp?

Good luck at mcalpin reserve - those ponds pretty well dried up a little while back.
I may be proven wrong, but don't think there is much there any more......

Also tried Gardiner's Creek just of Dunlop street and had no luck there either using corn.

Did the big storm wash out all the fish?

Barometer has been riding low the past few days - making fishing tough all round.

went cherry lake on sunday around 5pm using corn as bait. mate caught three and I caught one (and lost about 3 lol :down: ) then it started pouring so we left
