Definitely some monster carp in apl no doubt
Angling is the name given to fishing by people that can't fish

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad

After seeing Cornacarpio's thread I'd love to see what he could manage from a visit there

It's on the same creek as Belgrave lake, downstream. 5 minute walk in from the carpark, very pleasant spot. Fished it a couple years ago, plenty of carp. The second of 2 ponds from the carpark has better bank access.

Fishing is technically not allowed there, but that doesnt mean I havent fished it before(late at night)! Definetly wouldnt fish it during the day and weekdays are just asking for trouble cos there are plenty of nearby offices and ppl have their lunch around the water/parks. If your going to fish there, please make sure you remove any unwanted fish because it attracts foxes!!bigdan91 wrote:anyone know if fishing is allowed at lakeside drive in burwood east near vicroads?

Absolutely full of fish. As shazz said be careful and if a security guard comes and moves you along, for gods sake dont' make a scene.

Just carp in there? Have walked around there a couple of times and from memory it looks like it might hold some reddies.

This thread is giving me ideas...
Who polices this waterway? Is it the council or the security guards? (Or both?) And what time is 'late' enough to possibly avoid detection?
I know of a forum member that fished it in broad daylight, but I don't feel like copping a $350 fine as the sign states

If you 'give up' the forum member who fished it during daylight hours(interested if they copped a fine) I'l give you the time's you can fish there to avoid(reduce) detection by security patrol...
