Lillydale hasn't been fishing well since the draining, would go to belgrave.

Shopping trolleys in Ringwood Lake...used to plenty of things floating in there :) If you went up the back of it , you'd be competing with the rats too !!
Another spot in Ringwood when i was a kid was to sneak into the Army base and try our luck in the dam at the rear beside the laneway .. Deep!!. Don't like your chances getting in there these days tho..

Not far from carribean, follow stud road towards stud park shopping centre and its on the left. I would use running sinker rig with small size 4-6 bait holder hooks and tiny bean sinker with corn/cheese/bread/worms as bait. Chance of picking up carp and reddies and if your lucky a trout. While having a bait rod out flick a spinner or soft plastic as you never know what they are biting on until you try it all!

Lilydale lake used to be one, but since they drained it, it seems to be cleaner. And the Yarra through Wonga park seems to likewise be light on at the moment.
I'm sure there are plenty of spots left, but where does everyone think the big monsters are still lurcking.....and which areas need a good hit to help thin out their ranks a bit?
I'm keen for a carp fish. I have a few spots along gardiners creek. PM me if interested :) weather permitting I'm fishing tomorrow
