Hey all,
Went for a quick fishing session at my dam today. I was testing some of the new lures I bought yesterday. I decided to tie on the smelta in the black and gold colour. I got a few hits but no hook ups. A few fish were jumping but I couldn’t tell what they were - probably Redfin. As I was leaving the dam I checked on the cows, they were good. I’m hoping to go trout fishing this weekend at Euroa.

Reddies don't usually jump. They can "boil" when chasing bait fish, but not jump like trout.
Where in Euroa do you fish for trout?

Yeah, the fish was making splashes on the surface. I fish at the arboretum, it’s stocked with silvers and rainbow trout. I think there is also some yellas and catfish.

Better luck next time mate.
If you do go this weekend, hopefully you catch some nice trout!
