Hey all,
When I moved to VIC a few years ago, it was my goal to catch a proper trout at some point.
No luck after plenty of trips up to Warburton, adventures to Eildon (pond and renting a boat on the lake!), weekends in the Grampians.
Any suggestions for a lake to give a go during the colder months? I have some free weekends on my hands. Ideally within an hour or two of Melbourne so I can spend more time fishing and less time driving.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum mate  I would try Moorabool Reservoir between Baccus Marsh and Ballarat it is a great trout fishery and close to Melbourne.

Thanks crew! Moorabool looks like a great spot, not far out of the traffic and easy access. Cheers for the heads up!
