Waranga Basin
My brother and I broke the old man out of the nursing home for a day fishing, well it wasn't all about fishing, so we settled on the shore of Waranga Basin for easy access and enjoyed the day out. Only caught 3 carp at 50cm and 4 small reddies, the only downside was with all the room along the shoreline some jet skiers decided that right beside us was a good place to park and carry on right in front of us. cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Doesn't get much better than that Dave
Two barrels of salt, will fix them pesky jet skiers
I don't think it's closed season atm.

You're wrong there Gra.. Rules have changed for the coming season. No closed season anymore. They are a noxious species.. "They are all invasive species that potentially threaten wild ecosystems"Texas wrote:Doesn't get much better than that Dave

Good one Dave. No matter what fish you catch, or don't catch, its days like these that you remember for the rest of your life.

Good on you mate! I have been working with elderly and we don't see that often families making such an effort. I am sure your father had an awesome time!
