Fresh From The Mint
Managed to hobble out today for a bit of a fish. I have a badly sprained strapped up ankle right now so I managed to park the car within ten mtrs of the water. The least distance i have to walk right now the better.
As is usual at the lake i was at there were plenty of carp on the chew. Most fish were around the one to two kg mark. Good fun on light tackle.
I had a succession of frustrating "nibbly" bites at one stage and couldn't get a hook up. I changed down to a very small hook and bait and the nibbler was soon accounted for.
It was a very, very tiny mirror carp, bright as a new pin, what I descibed as being "fresh from the mint".
Has anyone ever caught a carp smaller than this one?

Ugly from the cradle to the grave! Sucks to hear about the ankle, least you could manage getting out.
Not a carp that small, but a redfin once (on worms) that was the size of a small Bic lighter.
