Bottom line is treat the fish with respect, whether they're carp or not.

Trout and redfin are also introduced pests, yet I doubt many people would advocate chucking them up on the bank and letting them die slowly.

Second bottom-line (if that's allowable!) should be to stop the stocking of all non-native species and concentrate of repopulating the rivers with natives.

If you want to catch trout, bugger off to Europe or the USA... :tongue:
