Carp & Structure

Post by Whiskers » Thu Oct 27, 2016 6:17 pm

Like many species of fish, carp like structure.

A classic example of this was evident today when I popped down to a almost featureless suburban lake which has barely shown a fish at all over Winter and early Spring.

The gales we had a few weeks ago had toppled a large tree into the water and close observation showed what looked like fish moving in and around the submerged branches.

Using the breeze I was able to manoeuvre floating bits of bread into the outer submerged branches. Nett result; 15 carp to 45cm by lunchtime.
