Post by Born2fish » Sun Oct 23, 2016 9:04 pm

Hey guys went purrumbete today in search of Chinook salmon. Bit of a change from snapper. Headed to the lake around 2 pm seen few guys cleaning fish. So my mate and I looked at each other and said should be good. Started trolling in 15m. Doing no good went deeper with down rigger 20 m found fish. Ended up with 5 fun 3 hrs on the water.
Location/ lake purrumbete
Depth 20m
Method/ trolling
Lures/ minnows

Awesome fish there mate how would rate the fight compared to a trout as I've never caught a Chinook but I find trolled trout a bit lazy in the fight.
