A Nice Brace of Browns
A few weeks ago I went to an out of the way spot in part of the Bunyip River catchment system, looking for a few early season trout. No trout, but plenty of jollytails and tupong.
Today the water was much better looking. End result was two big browns bought home and done and dusted by another six once they got into the timber.
One cock fish, just on 53cm and weighed just over 3lbs in old money. My other fish to bring home was a very fat hen. She weighed 4 & 1/2 lbs and was 54 cm on the mat. Only a centimetre between them in length but what a difference in weight.
All fish were caught on a white soft plastic paddletail.

Yeah nice couple of trout, :a_goodjob: cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: A Nice Brace of Browns
Same catchment area, different location.
An exploratory session today and the system gave up another nice brown. Just on 52cm.
