Sunday with my young nephew!

Hey guys! Just got home from a very big day! Picked my youngest nephew up this morning n we headed out for a fish!

I was hoping to hook him up to his first carp so went to a lake I've been fishing of late with great results!

First up we started in the shallows with worms catching some very respectable reddies! Guesstimations being his:37 mine:35 then he hooked up to an eel but as I helped him hold the rod I felt that this was a huuuuge sun bixch n he eventually snapped the 10lb leader..

In the afternoon we headed over the other side of the lake some friends met us there n we all through out corn but keeping one of ryans and mine with worms.. We got a few eels which was good for him! Loved his face as his trying to reel it in!

I cast a scrubby under this branch and on the drop it got smashed!! Short but spirited fight later I landed my new pb reddy of 42cm quick photo n released!

Unfortunately the carp eluded us.... For now! Stoked his so keen on fishing! As long as the day was with 6billion questions n being told I'm in the wrong spot I was happy to have a day with him outside and doing something constructive! Bring on summer!
