About half hour before dark sometimes the water's edge gets flooded with little reddies chasing the minnows, cast about 10/15 mts behind the little reddies and you have a good chance of getting a 45cm reddie thats trying to eat the smaller reddies, its the only place ive seen it happen regularly. All day with no action then BANG its alive for half hour then dead again. Ive tried to follow the schools along the bank but they just dissapear.. while its happening ANY lure will work and if casting into the school of little fellas you should get 5 or 6 each before they move on.
That's a really handy tip. I've found that place doesn't really wake up until around 1pm. I've seen the little reddies busting the bait only after that time. The carp start feeding late too
