1: Mepps spinners, Black fury (blade colors, black, gold & copper). sizes #00 (1.5gm) & #0 (2.5 gm) as well as Aglia's & Bug spinners...
2: Rapala F-3 Rainbow & brown trout patterns & Juvenile rainbow trout, as well as F-5's same patterns.
3: Strike Pro Smelta rainbow pattern. 2.5 gms
4: Muzza's 6 cm minnow lure's rainbow & brown trout models. 4 gms

I do have a few other hard body lures as well as some Blue fox spinners courtesy of Rex Hunt that I use from time to time as well, but the list is in the priority order of use... 1: Mepps used 90% of the time, 2: Rapala, 7 % of the time, 3 & 4 : Strike pro & Muzzas 2% of use & the others make up for the 1%. This is only approx % but it wouldn't be far of how I use them.. ;-) Also have a nice little Rapala X-Rap that MartyA sent me, will be giving that a workout once the trout season re-opens too, great little light weight lure it is..
Nice colours in this brown.. (Medium).JPG

Does the colour of the blades and the dots make much difference with the black furies? Is there one you find you keep coming back to?

Depends on the location.

Lakes (bigger fish, also doubles as reddy lures)
4-5" flash j shads
4" keitech easy shiner
Daiwa TD minnow 120 (19 grams with a sliding internal weight, casts a treat)

Rivers
Luckycraft slender pointer 67MR
Eco gear mx48

Tiny 1m wide creeks.
Strike pro baby archback

No Marty, lost it when it straightened the hook.. wasn't a happy chappy either as it was around the 2kg mark.. Would have been a PB rainbow for the Mersey River too...

cheers
Adrian.
