That would be fun on a fly rod. We used to get them on freelined dog biscuits on light gear. Would give a mad flight on a fly rod.
Cast, catch and put it back

I've had a single hit on a small walker and heard a fair bit of activity but nothing thus far.

Ur doing better than me! I've spent from first light to late arvo countless times with just surface lures for not even a strike! A few all nighters too but they seemed to b even worse

Yeah Gav I'm throwing lures. Generally start with a surface but I've lost quite a few spinnerbaits and diving hards along the way too. My luck hasn't been very good because I've been on nights with multiple surface boofs but none near my lure

Yeah I've lost a few to the Yarra always seem to b the expensive ones -.- I'm gonna try around the new moon at a spot I got smoked a while ago. I have dropped two beasts there and got a tiddler on corn lol.

I know black and lime green seems to get some attention so if u got lures like that worth a shot.

If ur keen to do an all nighter down there id b keen to do so. Thing is we gotta be on the water before it's dark I ain't trekking that ground in the dark it's hard enough during the day!

I've only had one strike off the surface and it wasn't on the Yarra but god dam it was exciting!
