Gippsland Trout

Post by mazman » Tue Nov 10, 2015 3:56 pm

Fly fished some of the gippsland rivers on sunday, saw some promising signs for a few of the fisheries out that way but didn't manage to find any large trout. Ended up landing one and missing a few takes from similarly sized fish.
The trout is a new PB for smallest trout landed.

At least you had a go and got one, the bigger ones have got to be there somewhere ;-) cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Tanjil, Taralgon, Middle Creeks are all good options. Tanjil especially has been producing some bigguns ;)
