They are great fun on light gear! I've been getting them on 2kg line in a little creek recently and it is great fun.

Agree they can be fun especially on light gear.
Caught plenty in lake Burrumbeet where I have taught me kids to fish. No snags, plenty of 65cm plus carp, light gear, easy to get to. Useful to teach about drag and "pull it up wind it down".

This needs to happen.
After the next carp cull we should find a paddock somewhere and have the first annual FVF carp skeetshooting contest.

I got a fat 8lb fish today and he pretty much gave up as soon as he was hooked myself and sam(fish magnet) were in awe to our little effort he put in to it..
