They are just "on heat" & looking for a stud bull, so they were just checking Jim out..
Cheers

These cows were just normal cows maz. Not aggressive at all, just came for a look! (I just made it sound dramatic!) If you have encountered aggressive bulls/cattle in the area...perhaps they are a result of the (human morons) minority aggravating them at times then the cattle trust nobody.
Forgot to mention as well, for about the third time in my Vic fishing history I was checked by fisheries when leaving the spot...after we had checked it out (the spot and determined we would return) the first time and we hadn't even fished at that time. Spoke to the officer for a while...he hadn't asked to see our license and I wasn't certain if he would as we were about 1/2 km from the river but as soon as I asked if he wanted to see them he said "may as well"! From their point of view we were obviously down there.
cheers

Got this fella on saturday in a small stream, good way to start the season. Got him on a 50mm pins minnow.

Re: Vic trout opening...2015.
Hey Jim
One of my mates smashed them on black and gold small berkley shads. I mainly used black and gold T tails and did okay.
Got this one on a small gold celta with the last cast of the day!
Seems gold was the hot colour.
The slower pools didn't give up much. Most fish were caught in or around running shallower water.
