~65m in the deepest section I think.

When I was kayaking it with a mate he was sounding arches 10m off the bottom in 60m, probably monster trout. Down deep probably refers to 5-15m though

I had my boat out there November last year and was sounding up 58m. Only caught 5 reddies. 1 good hit but no hook up.

I'm wanting to know this as well. I'm hoping I can use the lake with the 25 I have.

Last I heard off a mate that lives in yarragon it was going to be unlimited length and hp but strict 5 knot speed limits around banks / other users. with a max of 15 knots around the deeper sections. Haven't read anything official yet.

Lets hope so anyway.

That would be a great result ducky. Let's be honest 30hp on a 3.6m will prob go faster than a 50hp on a 4.5m hopefully common sense prevails. There are a lot of bass style boats out there as we all know most are bigger than 4.5 so a speed limit makes sense.

Be nice to think the rules will be adhered to but after the initial period of keeping an eye on things (if at all) the Water police and or Marine safety resources will be directed elsewhere and a minority of ratbags will give the majority a bad name.

Hate to say it but I agree. I once went to Pykes Creek one summer a few years back to fish off an inflatable. There were so many bogans there hooning around the water in high powered boats getting drunk, it was a mystery that no one got hurt.

Common courtesy isn't all that common, a bit like common sense

New rules are in ! 15 knot speed limit in open waters. 5 knots in the top end and near ramps. No restrictions on boat size or engine size ! New signs are already up and i think they are doing a public annoincment at the end of this week..
Cant bloody wait to get my pollycraft out there this summer when the bass turn on !
