Last time I was there, which was sometime back, if its the large boulders on the west shore, there is a car park off Purrembete estate rd, next to the entrance to a cliff top cafe, then you just follow a walking track around.

Roughly how far is the walk from the car park?

howdy, looking to head to Bullen-Merri for the first time early in the new year to spin from the banks. Ideally would love to snare a chook though not using bait/powerbait might restrict in this respect and I’ll have to content myself with the trout (if lucky!).. Just wanted to know whether this set-up was appropriate:
• 7’ fast-action light-power rod (rated 2-6lb);
• 2000 reel
• 4lb mono, no leader
• Rotate through my tackle box (tassies, damiki saemis, lively micro mullet, bullet minnows)

Any feedback appreciated :-) cheers
