Post by Nude up » Mon May 26, 2014 6:12 pm

Launched at queenscliff about 730 headed out to the lonsdale bight and drifted along the shoreline in front of the cottage by the sea picked up 3 squid,2 of the squid the hoods were low 30cm,s before losing my favorite jig damm by now the tide had picked up and the drift was to quick.
I thought I would give it a crack in swan bay had a pilchard on a squid spike 3mt down in 4mt of water next thing the float takes off rippin line off its a couta it attacked it repeatedly till finally nailing the line 1 spike gone. I rerig my last squid spike, my other rod buckles its another couta in the esky for bait.
The float goes again another couta attacking the spike, gone that was my last one back to the tackle shop good excuse I also need to replace my yamashita jig. Picked up a few flatties low 30, s off the water by 1pm work tomorrow.

Its just as bad when u bring the squid in by hand n jiggling the squid over the side of the boat to get rid of ink and squid slips out of ur hand n back into the drink. :doh1:
