Portarlington salmon session

Post by LINwAd » Sun Aug 05, 2018 2:18 pm

Heya all,

Went off to Portarlington for the first time with plastics and managed to get into a few sambos with a grub tail. Was a great little session and wasn't expecting much being new to the location, but a great little session was had! Gotta love the winter fishing (Sometimes). Didnt even look at the tides, but was a morning session. :water:

A video as always :) https://youtu.be/4TJIcfxKbxA

Anyone else got into them with plastics around that area the last couple of weeks?

Good video , I like those SP's in the fresh, good to see the salmon go for them too, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Great vid as always Lincoln.
I never get tired of catching those bay trouts with sps too
Looks like you had a good session.
Was nice of you to give a plastic to the other guy so that he could have a go at catching them also.
Cheers

Thanks man, the other net I was using was a ROUGE one and was a tad too small for the bigger flatties etc.

Got the new net from Kolliou Fishing
265 Hampshire Rd, Sunshine VIC 3020
Nice little shop!

Yeah that's why I was just doing little flicks along that wall. If you tried to do a long cast along the wall it just ended up on the pier haha.
