Just spending the weekend in portarlington no fishing. After having breakfast at the bakery I had a walk on the new break wall plenty of people fishing but no one catching very quite. The inside of the safe harbour is being dredged out. I thought I would have a quick look at point Richards rd boat ramp when I got there it was closed look like they are having the car park resurfaced any one know how long it will be closed for. I was hoping to come back next week and bring my boat

No one was catching and fish did see a good school of mullet under the mussel boats.
The water is quite dirty due to the dredging

As I live a minute away from this boat ramp I checked it out today. All I can say is what a waste of money! The parking has been cut drastically with approx 30 parks now available. Parks on the rhs of the ramp have now been become a useless area of mulch with a little walkway. It seems the little trains have became a priority. At the time of writing it is still under construction with a few more parking spots to be built at the entrance, but still not enough to build the capacity to what it once was. Very disappointed.

Spewing I hope to be down there during the week I will check it out I am 2.1k from the boat ramp.

I like taking the Yak there and drifting for flatties, the place definitely needed an upgrade.
