hehe, I love these threads, shows that so many methods catch fish, I think we get too carried away with it all. Most important thing is to get out and give it a crack!

Exactly. The trouble is newbies will probably see all these techniques and get overwhelmed by all the options instead of realising that technique isn't the biggest factor in catching fish.

Ok guys 1 paternoster rig ,1running sinker rig ,squid mussels pipis and prawn baits,burley up , move if there not around but not too far , fish turn of tide,hold rod
Im gunna be busy
Really appreciate everybody's tips heading out in 2 weeks so will let you know how i go

This is my favourite rig for St Leonards KG's, a KL 1/0 on a 10-12cm twisted dropper loop in 12lb line, 50 or so cm above a snap and a 1oz bomb. The twisted dropper helps the hook to stand proud of the main line and minimizes tangles, especially good at night or during a hot bite. I've found that Whiting don't care too much about the double thickness and stiffer leader. It's important with circles to thread the loop through the barb side of the eye first when attaching the hook so it curls back in towards the leader.
