St Leonards 2/7

Hi All
Fished St Leonards on Saturday targeting Gummy Shark and Calamari. Conditions weren't too bad with northwesterly winds around 10kts gusting up to 15 and the odd light sprinkle of rain. I couldn't get onto any decent size Gummies, just three small specimens all released but there were plenty of good sized squid around including one very aggressive Aero. Also picked up a few 32-35cm Flatties on the Gummy baits and that was about it. It's cold but winter's good with offshore winds and it's nice and quiet at the ramp, the car park wasn't even a third full. My wife and I enjoyed a memorable Calamari and Flathead linguine with white wine, garlic, onion, tomato and parsely, washed down with the remaining Sauvignon blanc, it was so fresh tender and delicious.
Awesome winter's morning
New rod holders worked a treat
Baby Gummy
Plenty of squid
Linguine alla St leonards -Bravo!
