slow day off the bellarine

Post by Nude up » Tue Apr 19, 2016 8:29 pm

Due to unforseen circumstances read the wife I haven't been fishing since bermie, and I was getting withdrawal symptoms, I was talking to tuna tube and he was up for a fish today tue, another guy from work who has recently bought a boat was keen to tag along. We met at werribee south boat ramp at 7am launched the boats and headed over to indented head. We started to drift but the squid were not playing a few colour changes and we managed a few 2 small and 6 a good size.
We decided to head to st lenoards to see if any whiting were around a million micro bites later our pippis cleaned up in seconds very small leather jackets, we managed a few but the bag limit was never challenged.
We moved to a spot a bit further and deeper and drifted for flathead we picked up a few to round the day out.
A great day on the water and a good laugh with mates but we found the fishing a bit slow

Still, you didn't go home empty handed, that's a good day, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
