St.Leonards pier pinkys/whiting 7-3-2015

Post by nhillboy » Sun Mar 08, 2015 10:49 pm

Hi all. At St.Leonards for the week end with Brighton bomber George and family. Fished the pier Saturday 4-10.30pm in nice conditions. Pier got pretty much full by 6 pm. Between 7 to 9pm between high and low tide (low tide 11pm) the pinky action was full on. The downer was they were all undersize as you would expect by now. My godson Billy was so stoked to catch his own pinkys. We taught him how to cast, strike and retrieve. A quick leaner was Billy. He even managed a double hook up. Around 8.30pm I got lucky and landed 2 x 32 cm KG whiting. By around 9 the action stopped dead as the moon was on the rise lighting up the whole area. Packed up and headed off around 10.30pm after a very fun, action packed session. Cheers till next time....

Nice work nhillboy at least the undersized pinkys would have kept Billy occupied

Hi Steve. Yeah, the pinky action has him hooked now. He can't wait to go again.

Its a very popular place at the best of time but a long weekend would be packed. Its great when the kids are little to catch fish they will become hooked for life no matter what size
