Brighton Bombers St.Leonards pier whiting 8-2-15

Post by nhillboy » Mon Feb 09, 2015 10:57 pm

Hi all just a quick post of my mate George (Brighton Bomber) and his fishing session Sat night at St.Leonards pier. He got there about 8.30pm to a crowed pier with not much happening and was lucky to get a spot to set up. First hour a few undersize pinkys released. By 10 pm it got a little choppy 10-15 knots and some fishos packed up and left. This seemed to be the trigger for the KG whiting to come on the bite. George only used pipis and was pretty much the only one using them as bait. From 10pm till 2am 14 whiting and a pinky were landed and had for Sunday lunch with George's parents who were also staying at the holiday house. Billy, George's son my Godson was also on the pier with his dad catching his first ever whiting. He was one very happy kid. Cheers....

Well done George that sounds like a very tasty Sunday lunch especially with some home grown tomatoes for a salad I would be guessing
