Does anyone think it would be a good day

Post by soulstar » Sun Dec 21, 2014 1:48 am

Hi all,

Just a question, would today be a good day to take a boat out in the bay ...(queenscliff jetty)
Not sure if 19 knots is too rough or not.
Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

What size boat you have mate? Also, it comes down to a lot of other factors, direction, area, etc. On average we wont go out over 15knots in our 455 quinny. At the end of the day, if you arent sure, and you are worried, dont go out. By the sound of it you arent hugely experienced with your boat so I would stick to calmer days until you are more confident.
