queenscliff today 28th

Launched at queenscliff today about 730 with barra mick and another mate adrian poor tuna tube couldnt make it and I had brought his new handline to start the training. It was foggy but with a chart plotter and vigilant people we cruised round to the lonsdale bight and drifted for squid we picked up 4 then it went quite we moved to a couple of spots near swan bay where we picked up a few flathead.
By about 11 the fog had all but cleared and the bay as flat as a sh@t carters hat we went out the heads and went towards the sorrento back beach where we drifted but it was very quite several gurnard which went straight back in very carefully getting spiked will ruin your day out. I was vertical jigging with a big vibe couple of hits then nothing bitten off 12 inch wire trace added another vibe then up comes the culprit couta straight in the esky for bait.
Barra mick pulled up a big blue throat wrasse. 2pm we head back in poor mick has to go to work me and adrian head back to the cottage by the sea picked up some more squid. All in all a slow day with a mixed bag but a great day with good company

What a great day to be on the water. If I didn't have pilates and yoga classes today I would've joined you and Barra Mick. Was so looking forward to using my new hand line. Great report
Cheers

I can vouch for that nude was quite concerned.

Thats why I think he wasnt at his best yesterday on the squid.

Normally he flogs me in the squid count but yesterday he only beat me by one ....

The stalker is no good for our fish tally
