slow day off queenscliff

Post by Nude up » Wed Jun 18, 2014 7:01 pm

Launched at queenscliff at 7.30 am headed round to the cottage by the sea and drifted for squid 2 hours later and multiple drifts later nothing we decided to head to a spot near swan bay picked up a couple of flatties round the 42cm mark. We were plagued with banjos, draughtboard sharks and weed really bad today. After a couple of hours we moved into swan bay to try for squid and whiting nothing only small flathead 31to 32 cm the tide turned so we headed out towards mud island rhe tide was hammering today picked up a ripper flathead 54 cm.
We were off the water by 330 a very slow day today no squid 8 flatties the water was flat no wind it was a bit chilly.
