Wind direction

Post by jedgpz » Mon Nov 19, 2018 8:15 am

Hey there,
Just brought a boat $.7 metre fiberglass half cab for keeping at my kids place in Geelong. I live about 3 hours from Geelong and will be travelling down on Sunday arvos and fishing on Mondays.
Quick question re wind direction and how if affects fish. Thinking with the 6 hour drive return trip i would like to increase my chances.
I know that for freshwater fishing air pressure and wind direction can play a part.
Thanks for any thoughts in advance.
Cheers
Jed

When the wind blows from the east, the fish bite the least. At least that's how the rhyme goes. If your fishing the bay from the G town side then an easterly probably isn't your friend. I don't fish that side but I know a decent northerly makes boating a bummer in sorrento. Maybe someone that fishes that side has more to add.

I have never caught a fish in Geelong in warm Northerly winds. Often the day after a big northerly is good.
