Fishing report

Post by Born2fish » Tue Oct 17, 2017 7:05 am

Hey guys launching clifton springs yesterday 12pm. Fishing for squid with family in front of the ramp took a bit to get em in glass conditions. We eventually got them then went out to point wilson and spent time sounding for fish. Found the fish i was looking for in 10m of water we now as i was putting rods out i put misses snapper snatchers down started rigging next rod. Then boom rod screaming off she faught it like a champion landing a 86cm red est 7.5kg snapper. We missed 2 more runs but happy with the squid and one big red.

Well done. We fish the same area on Sunday. Found the fish but couldn't get them to bite. Fished through the tide change but only picked up some flatties. Interestingly the water temp was only 15.5c. Looks like its rising which may be why you got them to bite.
Love that area but still trying to work it out.
Heading home to Werribee ramp we stopped and bagged out on the cal.

Well done, I've yet to catch my first big red.
We are heading down to Marlo for a few days this week-end with the family, trying to hook a few bream,.so I hope we get some.
