The jetty does get used for explosives for both commercial and military shipping to Tasmania. the jetty has HD cameras everywhere,

The Alcoa jetty used to be known for kingies not sure if they are still there at the right time of the year
Trawlling squid strips was the best method and then stopping them from charging into the pylons
