Clifton Springs Boat Ramp - Low Tide
Friendly reminder to watch keep an eye on the depth @ Clifton Springs boat ramp when launching/retrieving on a low tide.
Had about 20 boats get stuck on the bottom yesterday, coast guards sat out the front waiting.
They will be dredging the boat ramp today and tomorrow.

Apart from Barwon Heads and Geelong is Clifton Springs and surrounds somewhere where you can pump up for Bass Yabbies?

Yeah, you can find them all along the Bellarine. Look for muddy bottoms and exposed sandbars on lowtide.

Re: Clifton Springs Boat Ramp - Low Tide
Dumb question are the flats exposed on a low low at Clifton SPRINGS. . I’ve penciled on late Feb for Barwon Heads but wandering what’s closer and earlier. I used to go to Breamlee but have sinced moved.

Just saw your Airial map and description brilliant. Ok to wade around the dell and ramp in waders. Returning to fishing after a lengthy break

Re: Clifton Springs Boat Ramp - Low Tide
Yeah, the dell would be the perfect spot, it's a mix of clay bottoms and sand, on a low tide there should be some nice exposed sandbars. Right of the boat ramp would be the same, though often weed washes up and does collect there.
