Bellarine Tide Charts

Post by Chaba » Tue Dec 05, 2017 10:52 am

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a site that provides reasonably accurate tide predictions for the Bellarine - specifically St Leonards, and/or Portarlington? Every site I've checked mentions that the predictions given are actually for PPB heads.

Failing that, does anyone have a formula for working out those local tides based on the tide charts for The Rip/heads?

Cheers, and thanks in advance.

I,ve been using Willy Weather for years until recently trying Fishranger.
Gradually being converted, the layout is good and finding wind forecasts reasonably accurate.
Still checking one against the other but when it,s all boiled down, all forecasters use the data from the BOM to form their interpretations, as I understand it.
It,s puzzling how much variance there is on wind, of course tides are a given and can,t vary.
The bottom line is the presentation and how easily you can find out what you are looking for.
So far Fishranger is coming up well and and they give an excellent summary of how they go about their business.

Thanks Nudeup, would be interested to know what the 6 hour difference occurred on, this is a major variation and might be worth taking up with the app owner to see if there was an explainable reason.
