A little Drew story.
So i pull into the camp one year. Some of the lads were sitting around drinking afternoon tea. I pull up in the middle of them all (as you do) and Drew wonders over. Can in hand and a smoke hanging from the corner of his mouth.
Drew: "Gday Murlz. Good to see ya"
Me: "Gday Drew. Hows tricks?
Drew: " can you smell petrol?"
By now we are standing at the back of my boat.
HOLY ****.
I had left the top of the fuel tank and there is about a litre of premium. sloshing around in the back of the boat.
Drew. As calm as ****. "Prolly shouldn't be smoking here" and wonders of laughing his head of.
A genuine top bloke who would do ANYTHING for a mate. :( :( :ch:
At least you had petrol in the boat, that time
Fine line Gra, lol :rf: cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

I'm not sure yet Gra, I was hoping to go up early, but with the rain we've had lately, things are growing ridiculously, so work might get in my way.
At this stage I'm hoping to get up there Thursday sometime, but things can change.

Yeah, Barmah Pete is struggling to keep up.
The rain a couple of days ago have thrown his schedule into chaos

I've got a medical problem resurfacing
SO I'm hiring a portable toilet, from Echuca
If you're umming and areing because of a toilet, I have you covered (gold coin per pound)
So all you need is a tent and bedding, and fishing gear, of course
Plenty of stoves etc, but, don't ask murlz to cook a carp on his equipment
I'll be there on the 12th, Love to see you there
Cheers Gra

Yep, still going. Dave and I were up there the weekend before last scouting spots, wood, fish(not much luck here) sun and shade.
Will be bumping this thread every week from now until the event, unless someone else beats me to it :gj:
