Congratulations Bilby, you have made the breakthrough!

Like all forms of fishing once you work out a method or target fish confidence grows and it becomes easy.

Some great fish caught and released to fight another day.

Best Wishes

Here are a couple more I caught recently - 50cm, 61cm (and also caught a 62 cm fish with my brother - no photo on this occasion). I lost a couple to snags, too, including one fish that I just could not stop on 30lb braid. I also tried for yabbies with a piece of chicken on string (no hook) - no yabbies, but did turn up a tortoise that wouldn't let go. It quickly scurried away back into the river after a quick photo.

I'm guessing that the thinner fish in the second photo is a male? Does anyone know how you would tell for sure?

Crikey! That's a nice bunch of fish! What'd you catch them on?
