Post by Wolly Bugger » Thu Nov 08, 2012 9:55 am

These are the NSW regulations in regards to murray cod.
http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fisheries/rec ... g-and-size

Minimum length 60 cms
Daily Limit of 2
In possession 4 with only 1 above 100cm.
Open season 1st December to August.

On the Murray River between Tocumwal to Yarrawonga the taking of any fish species is not allowed between September to November each year.

There are a number of different sections of the Murray river that have different rules.

Any trout cod caught must be released as they are a protected species.

Bearii is downstream of Tocumwal so fishing is allowed, so yellow belly can be caught and kept, but cod if caught during the closed season must be released.
