Nice work Anth, something special about the creeks in that river.

I was up there Sunday too, got a few in the 25-30cm range on the fly rod, all on nymphs.

I wish i was better at fly fishing.. This place is a bit tight. I reckon i lose a rig a cast!

If you do want to get into small stream fly fishing grab yourself a 2 or 3wt under 7'6 and practice/learn how to roll cast and bow and arrow cast. Pretty rare you do something other than these, it's awesome fun in tight waterways.

The casting is one thing.. bush bashing through the black berries is the other! I struggled with a 6ft presso getting caught on everything as i walked.

I reckon i need a few sessions on an open river first..
