Murray at Mildura

Post by Eug1 » Thu Apr 12, 2018 7:54 pm

Just returned from a houseboat trip on the Murray with the extended family. 4 nights, 5 days, traveled from Mildura to just past Red Cliffs then back.
Not much to report apart from about 50 carp ranging from 10-50cm, all caught on worms with paternoster rig.
But all the kids had great fun with their light gear, and a bit of friendly competition with the father in-law (crowned the Carp King).
Didn't get any yabbies, and only tiny shrimp. Are there actually any yabbies in that section of river?
Anyway we all had a great trip, lots of good memories and always awesome to see a new part of the country.
Cheers, Eugene
