Planning to go to a place near Yarrawonga along the Ovens river and Lake Mulwala (and the Murray obviously). Just wondering how the fishings been doing up there and what the fish are going on.

The cod Nationals have just finished. Have a gander at the official site and UTube. Fished very well from what I heard.

I was up there for the Labour Day weekend got my first ever cod on lures ever in the lake ...got two. The the next day launched in the river with the kids and got 6 small ones on bait and 3 silver perch. The lake was really busy with wake boats and jet skis and did not quiet down till evening. Thats when I go the fish...on spinnerbait.
