moorabool res.

Post by gordo65 » Sat Mar 17, 2018 9:41 am

fished moorabool res Thursday morning , it has dropped so much since the last time I was there- the trees/snags I fished are all exposed! good 20 odd metres from the edge now ! ventured right of the dam wall and slowly made my way around , fishing was very hard - changed lures constantly - soft plastics seemed to do the trick , managed 2 decent sized reddies 32cm / 28cm and a pan sized rainbow - did notice some green algae blooms starting to appear near the top end of the res  - hope we can have some decent rain to get rid of this

Good you got some fish mate, but bummer the algae is there. Damn stuffs everywhere these days. We certainly do need some good flush the systems rain.

Doesn’t sound good about the algae but at least you still managed to get a few fish. Hope the conditions improve.
