A night at the local

Post by davek » Sun Feb 11, 2018 9:27 pm

Tonight Truedogz and myself sussed out a local creek. We were chasing reddies and yellas and the hope of maybe a cod. Started of with bait and I got a nice little reddie.

We fished several holes between us and Will hooked up on a big carp that broke the line while he was working him through the logs. We put the bait away and the lures came out, I was using a halco fluro green lure and Will had a stumpjumper. I managed 2 more reddies on the Halco,

Will hooked a very nice Yellowbelly,

Not a lot of fish but an enjoyable night with good company, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Three reasonable size Redfin and a good Yellowbelly and no blackberry bashing is a lot better than sitting at home bored!

Brett, the creek is much too small for a yak. In places it is choked with reeds. Much better to go out onto the weir with a yak - plenty do and catch fish.

Best Wishes
