Yellow belly have disappeared?I have only seen 1 yella caught in the Murray at gunbower in 5 years I reckon.Another angler from NSW side fishing from a boat asked me the same thing today. He said he hadn't caught a yellow belly for years around Kate Malone's bend area.He got 2 small cod and carp trolling this morning. My tally 3 carp.
There is a small patch of weed still in the river that caused us so much grief before the 2010 flood remove most of it at Kate Malone campsite.

They have all migrated too over here Gus, cheers davo ;-)
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

was catching yellas consistantly on dusk 3 years ago, some good size too, at the back of Gunni, last two years one 10cm and thats it. plenty of carp this year and some cod but nothing special, very hit and miss, i have noticed more boats on the water also, the river seems to shut down with water activity, best fishing dusk/dark.
