Newbridge area

Post by Jethro010 » Mon Sep 12, 2016 12:06 pm

Hello Fishers, heading to Newbridge in central Vic in a couple of weeks time and looking for a place to buy live bait - worms on the way there, driving from Melb along the Calder. IS the only option Bendigo? I'm trying to avoid going into Bendigo as will take add more time on the road? Cheers, JEthro

You could try going into Harcourt I'm sure there will be someone selling bait as Barkers creek Res is just up the road.

I reckon you should be able to sort something out if you go through castlemaine too. It is back roads from there to newbridge though.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

thanks all, a bit hard to dig for them as I don't have a yard, just a balcony :) Sounds like the water's been pretty fierce through this area with flooding....
