Family friendly waterways
In case you were not already aware, all of the stocked family friendly waterways across Victoria that receive an annual or bi-annual stocking of yearling rainbow trout were stocked last week in time for the winter school holidays.
There are 6 or 7 of these waterways in my area, and plenty more littered across the state.
For a full list of which waterways receive trout for the winter school holidays check out the Victorian DPI website.
We choose to release all of our fish in these waterways to ensure there are plenty there for the kids on holidays, and also for the lesser privileged members of the community with mobility issues!!
We still have a lot of fun fishing in them though!! Here is a short video of myself and a mate Kane Nicholson fishing in one earlier this week. :Fishing_1:

Re: Family friendly waterways
I have never been a fan of fishing for stocked trout but my attitude is changing. Besides, my usual spot for trout has not yielded one in two years so if you can't beat them - lower your standards!!!! It is a good opportunity for the kiddies but! I am going to have a go at Lake Victoria here in Shepp sometime soon.
thanks

G'day Mazman, it was caught on a strike tiger soft plastic nymph in black and gold colour mate.
G'day Taleb, they were all caught in one of the small family friendly waterways up here in Northern Victoria mate.
