Tried some lures at one of the inlet channels at Waranga Basin with no luck - not even a redfin!!! Then fished in the shallows for about three hours after dark with worms. I just reverse my car down the boat ramp and park there (life in the country). Never fail to pick up some carp. Was pretty slow but and only got four. Even with 'glow in the dark' bite indicators and bells sometimes I check my rod to find there is a carp on it - and then it comes to life. Not worth taking a photo of any of the fish but did get one pic of the moon shining of the glassy shallows! Was a peaceful night out there. The night sky is fantastic, when there's no clouds anyway. Just wish my photography skills were a bit better!
thanks
Jim

Re: Slow but pleasant night at Waranga Basin!
Thanks. When I took the pic the moon (very large and yellowish) had just risen above the horizon. Tried to get it in the pic but all I could get was a bright yellow ball! Had no idea how to set the camera for 'dark' mode which would have captured the moon in its glory with craters etc as well as it shimmering off the water. Going to study my camera manual I think.Andoki wrote:Nice Photo tho ... and good luck next time

I always say that Anglers has an artistic tast, as much time they spend in nature and having a wounderfull views ... study your camera's manual and take it with you next time and keep shooting nice photos ... and most important keep fishing
