How are we gents? Just a quick report from yesterday.
I haven't been to the Goulburn for a bit so I headed over to have a sticky nose. I had a bit of time to kill in the arvo so I had an afternoon session. The water was really high and running hard. finding spots to get a good cast in wasn't easy..
I got to the bridge at around 2pm, and slowly made my way down. There was only a handful of fishable eddys and backwaters to fish.
I got a heap of follows by some nice fish. at one stage I had 3 browns chasing my SP at once but no takers.. The fish were very hard to tempt.
I got hit around 6 times and landed 1 nice brown for the day. The fish took a black and gold T tail. I threw everything at them.. From SP nymphs to T tails to Deep divers shallow divers and spinners. The T tail got the fish going the most of them all. All the fish were hiding in the slower water and in the shade.
I also christened my new trout reel, Shimano stradic 1000.. What a beautiful little reel. Goes perfectly on the Presso.
Cheers, Anth
